2018 Lamborghini Spyder Huracan Performante

Vehicle was in an accident. Major front suspension work and frontal damage needed to be done to the vehicle. Vehicle would not crank or go into ACC. Because of the type of vehicle and value it is essential to follow procedure. A slip or wrong process can cost allot. Upon initial inspection we found the vehicle had airbags deployed and the roll bars also deployed.

First step for us was getting the correct information. Once we had diagrams the company we purchased the diagrams from sold us body shop manual instead of the wiring schematics. We had to ask them again for wiring information. Once we had it our team went through the information analyzing the power issue with the vehicle.

Our process

First principals first. Power, ground & signal, that’s not all circuits but the essence of many within vehicle networks. We used the dealership tool to pull live data from the vehicle. This isn’t the same as oscilloscope data but its digital data of what is and isnt communicating with the vehicle. We were then able to determine a major power source was missing from the central key module. It wasn’t hard to believe with the amount of damage done to the front of the vehicle. Nonetheless the key module had nothing to do with the issue. The accident did not do this. Our team determined that module at fault was the key module.

25 days of repair

Whatever it takes to make it work.

Voltage for terminal 30 was showing 0v

This told us to go check the BCM MODULE

Central Module Comfort System

Terminology is essential as not everything translates to English the same since this is a foreign vehicle

this bcm is located at the passenger footwell

Check this out

This is a BCM but its not the issue.

This is the wrong one. This is one of two the vehicle has.

BCM2 is the actual problem

Programming the vehicle didn’t come without its challenges. I’ll spare you the details but we have to do it at 3 am because that’s when we had access. Finally after calibrating the key and coding.

The vehicle finally started.
